Students spend a significant part of their day with their teachers. Our mission is to help children and educators expand their health and wellbeing, personally and systemically, by teaching skills that reduce stress, increase resiliency, expand mindful self awareness and compassion, and cultivate gifts and creative capacities. As we creatively connect our busy outer life with our inner life, we are able to develop more balance and sustainability. We can prevent ourselves from burning out.

Helping educators develop a personal mindfulness practice is a key focus. We work on becoming grounded in practices that are steady, nurturing, transformative, and joyous. This allows for interaction with children in a more present and happier way. Educators become role models by embodying mindfulness naturally in the classroom. This cultivates more connection and compassion as everyone slows down internally and appreciates the present moment, by moment, by moment.

Using an MBSR (mindful-based stress reduction) model, enhanced by the integration of the best mindfulness programs and a full complement of expressive and contemplative arts, we focus on health and wellbeing by helping educators develop a personal mindfulness practice. The ultimate goal is to live these practices into daily life so that educators embody and approach everything they do with mindfulness, including how they interact with students.

We interactively teach educators how to naturally integrate mindfulness exercises, playful games, and the arts to foster cooperativeness, collaboration, self-awareness, resiliency, and happiness in the midst of life’s stressors. We utilize traditional and non-traditional settings to create vibrant, creative classrooms that nurture children to be more ready to learn and become happy and thoughtful contributing members of our society.
